To those whom much is given, much is required.

Our being here reminds us how much we have back home, how things comes easily, and how much we expect "things" to happen swiftly just by living in Canada. We are humbled by our surroundings and are doing our best to extend ourselves to our fullest capacity to give back. The students have been wonderful representatives of Camosun College and Canada. You should all be very proud of them.

Another class session by the pool. We were focused inspite of our surroundings. Really.

This night, an Oral Health Presentation was scheduled at the local community center. We hope that by the time we leave, we can establish an ongoing monthly program that focuses on teaching / learning about Oral Health. The next class session will be tonight and will be presented by the other half of the student body here.

A familiar scene while we where waiting on the street in front of the EntreAmigos community center.

Our 82 year old patient at the hospital dental clinic, Dona Vega. She came back to the OH presentation to hear more about what she can do to keep her teeth. She reminded me of my own grandmother.

We sat around a circle while the students spoke. The people who attended seemed interested and asked many questions before we were done. Lots of learning on both sides that day.

Bethany explainning all about caries prevention. Each student presented a topic of their choice. Each attendee received a packet of information containing a how-to pamphlet on brushing and flossing, early childhood caries info, brush, and floss. Overall, it was a success.

More pics to come later of our school visits. The images take a long time to upload so I'll do it when I have more time. It's 7:00 a.m. here and I need to get ready for our school visit at Escuela del Mundo where there are approximately 55 Children, ranging from 3 to 12. Hasta luego everyone.
