Two days at the Escuela de Primaria

We saw 177 children in the last couple of days, in addition to the children that we saw at the community centre. We found that 75 of the 177 (42%) children had decay. When we first began this program in 2007, it was rare that we found children with no decay. Now, we are seeing more and more children with no caries. We are hopeful that the oral health education, promotion, instruction, and fluoride varnish application that we have implemented are making a difference in these children and their families.

Our students wore their Camosun College t-shirts proudly and were great ambassadors of our college.
Thank you.

At the end of our first day, we were invited to see a dance presentation by the school children.

Music and dance adapted by Dr. Seuss, The Lorax.
