Field School 2011: Bring on Spring...

I am happy to report that our trip to Mexico was uneventful. Our direct flight to Puerto Vallarta left Victoria at 6:55am on Saturday.  At the customs inspection area in PV , the red light came on for Shannon and I thus necessitating 5 out of the 8 pieces of luggage to be opened. We calmly explained why we had suitcases full of dental equipment and supplies and with a little negotiating, we managed to get out of the airport unscathed and with all our items in tow. Whew!

It was another 40 minute drive up North until we settled into our respective accommodations. We shared dinner together with our host coordinator, Glades before we all turned in for the night. Today is organizing day and acclimatizing to  our surroundings. Hasta luego.

  1. Glad to hear you all made it to San Pancho safely! I look forward to hearing about your experiences in this amazing little town!

Be sure to use this next month to utilize and expand with your newly acquired skills and DH knowledge, learn about the culture, enjoy the delicious foods, meet new friends and of course soak up the sun!

    Best of luck :)

  2. Great to hear from you, Robin! Everyone has been asking about all of you. Pedro already gave me hard time about none of us emailing him and sending pictures to him. We see patients tomorrow at Entreamigos.

Pictures are coming soon. Wish you and the gang were here!
