San Francisco General Hospital Tour

We met Dr. Eduardo, the new director of the San Francisco General Hospital last week. We were very happy to have received a personal tour of the hospital from him. "This hospital is old and does not have a lot of resources, but we all work with our hearts and hands!" And it showed. Everyone that he introduced us to was full of pride. This hospital was established in the 1970's and it is the only hospital between Tepic and Puerto Vallarta. They see about 1000 patients a month with a variety of conditions, including 45 births per month. They see many car accident cases because of their proximity to the highway. Currently, there is one dentist in the hospital, working with one dental chair and 40 year old equipment. We hope that someday we will be able to provide a more substantial donation from dental companies so that we can outfit the dental clinic to better serve the people of San Francisco.
