First dinner together and introduction to San Pancho

About Us

Camosun College Dental Hygiene Field School: Victoria, BC, Canada; On April 30, 2016, a group of 3 junior, 8 senior dental hygiene students and two faculty members from Camosun College leave for San Francisco, Nayarit, Mexico to engage in an international study-abroad opportunity. This is the 9th year that the dental hygiene program will offer a field school program to their dental hygiene students, after a break in 2014. While in SanPancho, we will promote oral health and provide dental hygiene services to the community. We will visit all the schools in the area and set up several dental units in the dynamic community centre called, Entreamigos. We will be joined later by a Certified Dental Assistant instructor who is investigating the possibility of a joint field school. We are looking forward to an experience that is rich in learning, service, and collegiality. This is the 6th year that a blog has been created to inform, engage, and share our experiences to our readers. We encourage your feedback, ideas, and comments while we are away from home.
